Canadian Science Policy Conference (CSPC): Call for Proposals!
CSPC 2014 is currently looking for “dynamic, interactive, and engaging panel sessions and case studies that align with the conference themes and would appeal to a diverse, national audience.” They encourage proposals that offer new insights and direction to science policy in Canada and emphasize engagement and interaction between speakers and the audience.
This year’s Canadian Science Policy will be held in Halifax from October 15-17, 2014. Despite being a fairly new conference (6th annual), the CSPC has already made major contributions to the national science policy scene by offering a forum that unites stakeholders and highlights critical issues. It has played an important role in raising the public profile of science policy in Canada and has reinforced the ideas of evidence-based decision making.
The CSPC 2014 themes are:
- Canadian Science and Technology Strategy: Looking Towards 2020
- Innovation in Partnerships: A Recipe for Success
- The Art and Science of Risk Assessment: A Global Conversation
- Advancing Canadian Economic Development and Prosperity with S&T
For more information on how to submit a proposal, please visit www.cspc2014.ca. The deadline for panel submissions is Friday June 6, 2014.
