National Public Service Week 2012: Letter from Gary Corbett to Wayne Wouters, Clerk of the Privy Council

Fellow Members:

I have signed an open letter to the Clerk of the Privy Council setting out the Institute's perspective on this year's National Public Service Week.

We are living through extremely difficult times.

While it has never been more important to highlight and celebrate the contribution of public service professionals to their communities and their country, it is equally critical that we draw attention to the damage that is being done to programs and services through budget cuts.

Please accept my best wishes as you take pride in the work that you do on behalf of our fellow citizens, and for the Public Good.

I assure you that PIPSC will continue to work diligently to ensure that your rights are respected as the government implements these budget cuts, and that their real impact on programs and services that Canadians depend on is fully understood and recognized.
