The members of the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) are the scientists, engineers, auditors, health workers, IT specialists, and other proud professionals on the front lines, keeping Canadians safe and secure.

As public service employees, they have taken an oath to serve all Canadians to the best of their ability, no matter the circumstances of the day. They put their knowledge, skill and experience to work for their fellow citizens. They are independent and non-partisan.

But now, they are facing very real, and growing, challenges that threaten their ability to protect Canadians’ health, environment, and prosperity.

Whether it’s food safety, data security, social and economic welfare or environmental protection, Canadians depend on their public service professionals.

But the Conservative government is putting dogma ahead of evidence, business interests before those of the general public, and is cutting key federal programs and services with little or no regard for the consequences.
