Presentations and Q&A: 12:45 – 1:30 p.m. Please plan accordingly.

Scheduled guest speakers are CS Group President Stan Buday and local PIPSC Vice-President Don Burns. Rob MacDonald, President of the Vancouver SP Sub Group, will be attending as well. There will be updates regarding the PIPSC AGM (Nov 6-8), CS Group activities, as well as PIPSC National/Local levels and Better Together activities. There will be time allotted for questions from members.

Elections for the Vancouver SP Sub-Group Executive will be held at the AGM. There are a total of five (5) positions are available and the term of office is for 2 years. Being on the Executive is a great way to contribute to professional science in Canada and also a personal development opportunity. Nominations close at the meeting. If you expect to be absent, please e-mail your nomination form to Archer Schultz by Thursday, November 6, 2014.

Anyone wishing to propose changes to the constitution and the election procedures are welcome to do so. Our sub group Constitution and By-Laws outline the requirements that need to be met with respect to any proposed changes. In addition, any proposed changes to Constitution and By-Laws need to meet with the approval of the PIPSC By-Laws Committee.
