Engineers support our troops in Afghanistan
In Cornwall on September 26th, 2009 national and provincial engineers honoured Canadian troops deployed in Afghanistan in a very successful and visible event.
“Engineering Excellence in Support of our Troops celebrates Red Friday” also offered seminars on engineering issues. Scheduled topics included satellite communications, Canadian weapons effect simulation, and remote mine hunting and disposal.
The City of Cornwall hosted the numerous participants who included the NR Group Executive, PIPSC Vice-President Don Burns, members of the Professional Engineers of Canada, members of the Professional Engineers of Ontario, and senior representatives of the Royal Canadian Legion.
