  • In the spring of 2013 the TR Group applied for arbitration along with other NRC groups. After applying the Institute discovered that the Group’s chosen dispute resolution method was the conciliation strike route.

  • In 2007, NRC laid off a good number of their staff. PIPSC argued with NRC that their refusal to allow the laid-off employees to work their notice period was a misinterpretation of the WFA policy.

  • After President Pierre Coulombe announced last February that some NRC institutes would undergo work force adjustment, PIPSC, as provided in the Work Force Adjustment Policy, participated in several meetings, with the goal of ensuring the greatest possible transparency in the process.

  • The IS/TR bargaining team met with the employer on May 1 and 2, 2008. These were the first days of real bargaining, the parties having first met on January 23 to exchange proposals.
