NRC-TR GROUP BARGAINING UPDATE
The joint NRC-IS/TR Group Bargaining Team met with the employer bargaining team on January 23 to exchange proposals. Each side will respond to the other's proposals when bargaining continues on May 1 and 2. Salary proposals have not yet been exchanged. These will be tabled later on in the bargaining process.
Your Bargaining Team's proposals include: improvements to vacation leave and family-related leave, employer payment of professional fees, credit for unused sick leave, and the establishment of a generic 37.5 hours one-time leave entitlement in lieu of marriage leave.
Your Team also tabled a proposal to establish a graduated leave prior to retirement (Pre-Retirement Transition Leave) and advised the employer we will be tabling proposals at a future date to improve the pension plan.
