NRC-TR BARGAINING UPDATE MARCH 2009
The tentative agreement reached between the NRC-TR Group and NRC last November 26 was ratified by members of the bargaining unit on March 4.
It provides for:
1. A vacation carry-over clause providing for accumulated carry-over of seven weeks and requiring a two-week/year pay-down for excess accumulation commencing in 2010.
2. Salary increases of 2.3%, 1.5%, 1.5%, and 1.5% in each year of a four- year collective agreement.
3. A conversion of the present marriage leave to a generic one-time leave available to all employees.
The new collective agreement now must be translated and signed by the employer and the Institute.
We will advise at a later time as to when you can expect to receive the salary increases noted above.
