  • 2012 was a decent year for the NUREG Group: 1) We finally received our arbitral award (see item #3); 2) We started revitalizing our steward network (see item #8); and 3) The employer managed its Budget 2012 cuts through a combination of attrition, non-salary and internal reallocations.

  • The Arbitration Award resolving the outstanding issues in collective bargaining between PIPSC and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission was made on December 10, 2012.

  • After 2 days of mediation in October which resolved a number of issues, the parties met in front of the Arbitration Board on November 1st to present the remaining outstanding issues.

  • Arbitration to resolve the outstanding issues in collective bargaining was scheduled for October 17 and 18.
  • CNSC Values and Ethics Code

  • The new CNSC Values and Ethics Code is now in effect. This code relates to your duties and obligations with respect to CNSC values and expected behaviours and you are expected to abide by it.

  • A date has been set for interest arbitration to resolve this round of negotiations for the renewal of the collective agreement between The Institute and its NUREG Group and the CNSC.
