OSFI PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEES GROUP
The OSFI PEG Bargaining Team met with OSFI on May 13-14-15, 2002. Even though we managed to resolve most non-monetary issues and some very minor monetary issues, there remains substantial work ahead. This includes the renewal of terms and conditions related to travel, the bilingual bonus, relocation and work force adjustment for which the employer introduced new proposals on May 13, 2002.
The OSFI PEG team has asked for but has not received a pay proposal from the employer.
The team is not encouraged by the increasingly adversarial tone and approach that the employer has taken over the three days of bargaining.
The employer has assured us during the discussions of the last three days that OSFI will implement the performance pay regime reflected in the collective agreement for the 2001-2002 period within the usual time frames.
Next bargaining dates: June 10-12, 2002.
