  • The SH Bargaining Team met with the Employer from September 27-29, 2016. Both sides identified their major priorities in an effort to move toward reaching a tentative agreement.

  • The SH Bargaining Team met with the employer on June 1 & 2, 2016 and we continued to discuss and review the various proposals put forward by both sides. Unfortunately, the pace of bargaining remains slow and a number of significant issues remain outstanding.

  • The SH Bargaining Team met with the Employer on April 5, 6 & 7, 2016. The issue of sick leave and Short Term Disability Plan (STDP) was put aside until further direction is provided by PIPSC National who is managing the issue for all PIPSC members.

  • The SH Bargaining Team met with the employer from February 23-25, 2016. The Employer provided a revised proposal regarding sick leave and their Short Term Disability Plan (STDP). The Employer emphasized that their proposal includes both a STDP and ultimately the removal of current sick leave banks.

  • The SH Bargaining Team has not met with the employer since the end of September 2015. Bargaining meetings scheduled in December 2015 and January 2016 have been postponed as the Treasury Board (TB) waits for their revised bargaining mandate from the new Liberal government.
