NATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS TRAINING
The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada is offering the following two training sessions on Human Rights for its stewards across Canada:
October 7-8, 2011 Manoir Saint-Sauveur - St-Sauveur (Qc) French Only
and
October 14-15, 2011 Grand Hotel - Toronto, ON English Only
This is national training intended to be a foundation course for any member wishing to serve on a Committee on Human Rights in the Workplace. Other stewards with an interest in human rights issues are also encouraged to apply. The training is linked to the planned establishment of a national human rights network of trained stewards and those with human rights experience.
If you are interested in participating in this training, please complete the electronic registration form no later than noon on September 9, 2011 (for the course in French) or by noon on September 16, 2011 (for the course in English). Final selection of the participants will take place at close of registration.
Applicants must be stewards having completed at least basic training. Preference will be given to those who sit on Employment Equity or Human Rights Committees.
