The Communiqué provides clarification on the non-elective medical/dental travel assistance benefit under section 3.1 of the Isolated Posts and Government Housing Directive (IPGHD). It addresses many of the concerns caused by the previous communiqué published in 2009.
The National Joint Council Executive has appointed a consultant (Mary Laidlaw) to conduct a review of three allowances contained in the Isolated Posts and Government Housing Directive: the Living Cost Differential, the Fuel and Utilities Differential and the Shelter Cost Differential.
