The Professional Recognition and Qualifications Committee, which was instrumental in the creation of the award, reminds all members and stewards that the deadline for nominations is April 15, 2009.

  • While addressing Institute members at a meeting in Montreal on Monday, February 9th, PIPSC President Michèle Demers suffered a brain aneurysm. She was transported to the Royal Victoria Hospital where she underwent emergency surgery. Sadly, she passed away February 10th with her family at her side.

  • It is with deep sadness that the Professional Institute announces the passing of President Michèle Demers on February 10, 2009 at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal. She had undergone emergency surgery the previous day after suffering a brain aneurism. Michèle was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing.
