PIPSC Welcomes the Release of the Second Report of the Joint Task Force on Mental Health in the Workplace
On May 31, 2016, the Joint Task Force on Mental Health in the Workplace, established in 2015, released its second report, a road map that charts the way forward towards better addressing mental health issues in the workplace.
The report demonstrates that a collaborative approach between union and employer representatives can work. The Institute is proud that Vice-President Shirley Friesen is a member of the Task Force’s Technical Committee and a key collaborator in the initiative.
This process is just beginning. PIPSC will continue to play an essential role in addressing mental health issues in the federal public service, and in improving the well-being of its members and all public servants.
