National Day of Mourning 2015 for Workers Killed or Injured on the Job

This year April 28 marks the 31st anniversary of the annual Day of Mourning, an international day of remembrance and an occasion to call for more action to prevent the deaths of about 1,000 workers each year on the job or from workplace illnesses.

It is a day of sadness, because workplace deaths and injuries are preventable – they shouldn’t happen.
