Opening of the Institute’s 95th Annual General Meeting
On Friday, November 7, 2014 at 8:30 a.m., a Town Crier announced the 95th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Institute’s supreme governing body. As 423 delegates prepared for business, Chair Barry Young reviewed the rules of procedure and conduct, and led the delegates through the initial items on the agenda. The assembly observed a minute of silence to honour members who had passed away since the previous AGM.
At the head table: (left to right): Debi Daviau, President; Barry Young, AGM Chair, Marilyn Best, Vice-Chair and Parliamentarian; and Julie Gagnon, AGM Coordinator and Recording Secretary.
As is customary, AGM Chair Barry Young reviewed the rules of procedure and conduct, then proceeded to lead the delegates through the usual opening housekeeping items.
