The Professional Institute Legacy Foundation is a visible demonstration of our commitment to the next generation of professionals. The Foundation's sole purpose is to support the education of deserving children across Canada.
When National Public Service Week was launched in 1992, the Professional Institute of the Public Service (PIPSC) was there. We advocated for what should be an annual celebration of the achievements of Canada’s public service and the importance of those of us who are its heart and soul.
But this government is tearing down public services, showing profound disrespect for public service employees and now, with Bills C-4 and C-59, trampling the constitutional right to free collective bargaining.
Even in these difficult circumstances, as professional, non-partisan public service employees we are proud of our commitment to serve Canadians with integrity. So this year, we will celebrate our commitment and our integrity together.
In some regions and locations PIPSC and other unions will be hosting their own events. In other locations members may choose to attend events held by the employer.
Whatever we do, we will send a clear message that we will stand up for the constitutional rights and public services that belong to all Canadians and their families.
It’s public service week – and we think the best way to celebrate is to speak
As professional public service workers we believe in the facts. And the fact is we’re
losing the tools we need to keep you and your family safe and healthy.
