Celebrating our Community

Celebrating our Community

June 10 marks the beginning of Public Service Week. To mark this week, the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) will be hosting a not-your-average Public Service Week event by joining the wider Ottawa community for a fun-filled Sunday at the Ottawa Baseball Stadium where the Fat Cats will be playing the Barrie BayCats.

Please join us along with your families and friends to remind the larger community that, as neighbours and friends, federal public service employees are integral to the life and culture of the National Capital Region and that the current government action affects all of us.

These past few months have demanded a high level of union visibility focused on drawing attention to the PIPSC membership as vital to the public service – that work is far from done. June 10 is about coming together as a community with our families and friends to enjoy a baseball game, music, food and family-oriented activities!

Pre-Game and Post-Game Activities!

Live music in the Square starting at around 12 noon

Following the game there will be a post-game BBQ Pit with live music.

In the event of rain the pre-game music will go on and rain checks will be issued for a future Fat Cats game.

Get Involved on June 10!

June 10 is your day and we want you to get involved! How? We want you to share your stories about your community involvement. For more information on ways to get involved, please follow this link.
