Snapshots - Gatineau Branch AGMThe Gatineau Branch AGM was held on March 24 with some 150 members in attendance. This was a first AGM for Branch President Alex Rodriguez who took over after their former President Debi Daviau was elected full-time National Vice-President. NCR chief Steward Gordon Bullmer conducted the elections for the new Branch Executive. President Corbett provided an update of the ongoing issues, including an update on the pension issue. Although the government did not attack the pension plan in its most recent budget, the Institute continues to monitor the government’s actions in this area. This is a prime target for the politicians. Newly elected Vice-President Debi Daviau spoke on the issue of collective bargaining, asking the members to provide feedback on the issues they would want addressed in collective bargaining. Door prizes were raffled among attendees.
