Professional Institute Scholarship Program

In late 2008, the Professional Institute Legacy Foundation was created "to advance education by providing scholarships, bursaries, awards and other forms of financial assistance to students". Michèle Demers was an original officer of the Foundation and was slated to become its first Chair of the Board of Directors.

The new Foundation was created to house the Institute’s well-respected scholarship program. The program was always near to Michèle’s heart. She delighted in hearing the dreams and aspirations of the many talented future professionals who have received a share of the $200,000 awarded to date. To honour her memory, the Professional Institute has established the Michèle Demers Memorial Scholarship Fund, which will form an integral part of the Institute’s overall scholarship program.

Those wishing to contribute to the fund may do so on-line at www.pipsc.ca. Cheques should be made payable to the Professional Institute Legacy Foundation, and addressed to the Executive Secretary, 250 Tremblay Road, Ottawa, Ontario K1G 3J8.
