ONTARIO REGION TRAINING OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY - MAY 9 & 10, 2008

The PIPSC Toronto office will be presenting a training course on Occupational Health & Safety on Friday, May 9th & Saturday, May 10th, 2008 at the Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre.
This course is intended to provide members with knowledge and skills that may assist them in carrying out their roles as participants in OSH committees. It will include coverage of such topics as the duties of OSH committee members, the Employer’s obligations under the Canada Labour Code, refusal to work/withdrawal from work for health or safety-related reasons. A portion of the training course will be dedicated to having committee members share their experiences in OSH.
The course will commence at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9th and finish at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10th. The usual rules regarding hotel accommodation, meals, travel expenses and salary reimbursement will apply. The PIPSC Travel Policy can be located on-line.
We will contact you to confirm your registration and to give you further details regarding the training session. Once you have received confirmation, please arrange your air/train transportation, if required.
