  • The PIPSC Winnipeg Office will be presenting a Basic Steward Training course on Thursday, October 27, 2011 starting at 08:30 a.m. and continuing through Saturday, October 29, 2011 concluding at 3:00 p.m. Travel should be arranged so that you are able to attend the entire session.

  • In the creation of the CFIA over 10 years ago, some of the fabric of the former departmental organizations was lost. Consultation is one of them. Most of us in the CFIA, management and employees alike, have little personal history with this concept.

However, due to the size of our Region and the number of work places served by our stewards, it is challenging for the Prairie/NWT Regional Executive and the Awards Committee to be aware of all of the work our Stewards perform.

  • The Prairie/NWT Regional Steward Council will be held on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Delta Edmonton Centre Suites in Edmonton, Alberta. The Council will be one and one half [1 ½] days, starting on Friday at 1:00 p.m., with registration at 12:30 p.m.

  • The Regional Executive is requesting nominations for the Prairie/NWT 2008 Steward of the Year Award. All nominations are due September 3, 2008. The nominations should be sent to Robert Hunter at robert.hunter@pipsc.ca.

  • At the 2008 Stewards Council in Winnipeg (April 25 and 26), the Regional Executive will be giving out three awards, two of which will be for work accomplished as a Steward. The third award will be given out for work accomplished as an elected official or as a committee member.
