NATIONAL EMPLOYMENT EQUITY TRAINING

The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada is offering the following two (2) day training sessions on Employment Equity for its stewards across Canada:

This is national training intended to be a foundation course for any member wishing to serve on Employment Equity or Human Rights committees in the workplace. Other stewards with an interest in employment equity issues are also encouraged to apply. The training is linked to the planned establishment of an employment equity network of trained stewards with employment equity experience.

Participants will receive work material to prepare for the course, and can expect to participate in a number of simulations and role-playing exercises.

If you are interested in participating in this training, please complete the electronic registration form no later than noon on March 4, 2011 (for the April course in English) or by noon on May 6, 2011 (for the June course in French). Final selection of the participants will take place at close of registration.

Applicants must be stewards having completed at least basic training. Preference will be given to those who sit on Employment Equity or Human Rights Committees.
