The Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT) believes that “Canadians need science policy that puts the public interest first and builds upon the proven strengths of government and academic research.”
In April 2013, they launched the campaign “Get Science Right,” in response to increasing concerns about the integrity and independence of scientific research.
In the past year and a half, CAUT has spread the word about Canadian science by hosting town halls across the country where members of the public and media are invited to join with local researchers to discuss the attack on Canadian science and what it means for Canadians.
CAUT’s Get Science Right website a great source of information and provides opportunities to take action by signing petitions and getting involved in various events.
